Introduction: PV industry relies on foreign goods microelectronics plant material as the basis of silicon raw materials. The development of solar cell market is expected to have been recognized by everyone, however, a shortage of predictable materials will be demonstrated in the near future. One of the most effective solution is to provide other sources of material. Based on this view, Kawasaki Steel Corporation is working to develop a new approach, that is, NEDO metallurgical purification method to produce solar-grade silicon (SOG-Si) films for solar cell production. This process includes two steps, as well as the process of purification of four elements, see Table 1 in detail. We have listed these steps in a process of SOG-Si preparation of equipment, as well as a model production facility 20Kg.
In this paper, we describe a 100 ~ 300Kg SOG-Si production of silicon materials and model contour. Our goal is to establish a FY1995 to FY2000 the use of large-scale equipment, SOG-Si silicon material production base. The device's maximum annual production capacity will 60000Kg. |
